Privacy Policy

Below is a list of the standard policies we use on this website. They are in place to safeguard our users, and to ensure we can provide a quality user experience!

PRIVACY POLICY

Here at SongTown, we have always taken your privacy seriously. This policy explains our practices on what we collect and how we utilize your data. We want you to feel comfortable and confident that we take care of your personal data.

GDPR

On May 25, 2018, a new European Union (EU) data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), takes effect. The GDPR gives individuals in the EU more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on businesses that process information of those individuals. We’ve updated our Privacy Policy to take into account the new requirements of the GDPR.

By using our website and agreeing to this policy, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Visiting our Website

SongTown uses Google Analytics and Cookies in order to improve our service, user experience, and to analyze how the website is used. The collected information is used to provide an overview of how people are accessing and using our website. This data may include your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The source of the usage data is Google Analytics.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files a Web site uses to recognize repeat users, facilitate the user’s ongoing access to the site and facilitate the use of the site. “Cookies” also allow a site to track usage behavior and compile site usage information that will allow for the improvement of content. This information is anonymous and we use this information only internally – we never give away this information about our users.

Customers

Those that buy products on this website are asked for additional information. This data is used to process each sale, and to mail out each order to the correct customer. We keep records of customer data including: name, street address, e-mail address, phone number, and other contact information. However, we do NOT hold credit card data of any kind. Our credit card processing partner Stripe™ manages all of that information. In some cases we have the ability to see the last 4-5 digits of a credit card for future client verification.

Customers that have purchased from us are also added to our mailing-list by default. However, as stated above – all outgoing e-mail contains a simple unsubscribe link that can be used by the recipient at anytime.

Access to Information

You can access your information by logging into the member website and clicking on My Account” option at the top of our menu bar. Here you can view your products, purchase history, and your Account Profile. Account Profile information can be changed or corrected by the user. The information presented in the Account section represents all of the user data stored by SongTown.
