How It Works
Each week sync supervisor Justin Kamps will talk about one selected TV show, giving you insider info and tricks to increase your chances of writing successfully for that show.
Your assignment will be to write that killer song and submit for consideration!
Week 1 : Bridgerton
- Learn how supervisors work to find the right songs for a TV show.
- Justin will talk about what gets him pumped when he hears songs that are submitted.
- You'll learn what uniquely makes a "Bridgerton song."
- Learn what mistakes writers commonly make when submitting songs to supervisors.
- Submit an original song in the syle of Bridgerton music.
Weeks 2 : Greys Anatomy
- Get the inside scoop on writing for Grey's.
- Learn how Grey's Anatomy discovers and launches new writers and artists.
- Submit an original song in the syle of Grey's Anatomy.
- Feedback on selected songs from prior week's assignment.
Weeks 3 : Current Surprise Projects - TBA!

- How to customize your writing approach for each show you write for.

Meet Your Fearless Instructor...

Justin Kamps
Justin owns the independent music supervision company Monster Sector Music Supervision. He has supervised Bridgerton (Netflix), Lucifer (Netflix), Nancy Drew (CW), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), Resident Evil (Netflix), The Winchesters (CW), Perfect Addiction (Constantin), Rebel (ABC), Another Life (Netflix), Supernatural (CW), and upcoming projects like Jagged Mind (Hulu).
Justin started his career in 2009 when he joined Alexandra Patsavas and the team at Chop Shop Music Supervision as an intern and worked his way up from there. During his time at Chop Shop Justin earned credit as Music Supervisor on the shows Insatiable (Netflix), Co-Music Supervisor on the film A Futile and Stupid Gesture (Netflix), Music Coordinator on Z: The Beginning of Everything (Amazon), and uncredited work on a wide variety of projects like Scandal (ABC), How to Get Away With Murder (ABC), and Council of Dads (NBC) among many others.
He recently received a Guild of Music Supervisors Awards Nomination for his music supervision work on Season 2 of Bridgerton.
